Somewhere in a regular life Linda Ellis lived first in Florida, then in New York City. Now, she lives in Georgia, the place where she reached deep within and found a voice which remains mute in most of her fellows: Ellis became a writer. Linda Ellis wrote her world-famous poem The Dash, a 9-stanza revelation which explores the real meaning of the dash on tombstones which spans the space between birth and death. She wrote this poem in 1996 while pursuing her career in corporate America.
